Pan-cupcakes

Another Pintrest idea was attempted last night.  I decided that I was in serious need of some pancake lovin' and whipped up 12 pancake muffins.  These are some fantastically fun treats and are super easy to create.  It get's you that pancake flavor you desire without any flipping or in my case, flopping.  Relatively mess less and a huge plus, has very few dishes involved for cleaning later. A whole lot of pluses in my mind. The idea have been trending on Pintrest for a few days and simple enough in action.

Step 1: Get pancake mix.
Step 2: Find any other ingriedents if necessary.
Step 3: Mix
Step 4: Pour into cupcake pan.
Step 5: Bake.
Step 6a: Cool
Step 6b: Eat

And I found that I actually really enjoyed these babies.  I filled each cupcake indent of my silicone tray about half full and watched them rise slightly as them baked.  Mine could have used more time in the oven, as they were pretty albino in color, but they taste nice all the same.

I worked off this really simple idea as discussed here, at Gwaltney Foods, and expanded to fit my tastebuds at that moment.

The difference for me is that I went with Chocolate Chip Coconut Pan-Cupcakes and poured the batter into regular sized cupcake pans (as I do not own any mini cupcake pans).

It the batter went a sprinkling of sweetened coconut.  Poured into the cupcake pan when the batter,  was ready.  Now just imagine someone wildly chucking individual  chocolate chips into each cupcake compartment in the misguided hope that this would help evenly disburse chocolaty goodness throughout the pan-cupcakes. On top of that, floating on the lagoon of goo I sprinkled a few more chips and then loaded up on the coconut shavings.  I do love coconut.

While the pan-cupcakes were baking I created yet another tasty dessert, deconstructed almond joys (I guess they would technically be mounds, but almod joys would be easy enough to follow), which I may discuss at another time.

Wall Art Finished!

Finally, after a few months of the project just sitting on the floor my comic inspired wall art is finished and hanging.

All the work up there took a while to get used to.  I first hug BAM and felt like it was way to much color. So it took a while to get the rest of them up there.

And I love the Kablam!!  It's a call back to my child hood.  the show Kablam was a great way to spend some time laughing.

Hair is part of the art of life.

HAIR!

I cut my hair last year, January 2011.  To just an inch below my chin

And a year later, Jan 2012, it's still not as long as I want it. Not to where I think it was when I cut it.
So when I looked it up, it seems that I'm right on track.  The average person grows about 1/2in per month equaling out to about 6in per year of hair growth.  Which I think is basically what I've done.  So in the next few months I'll probably be just dandy about it.  I may even go get a trim next time I'm in riverside, I happen to really like the Fantastic Sam's I go to.  And I havn't seen a place out here with reasonable prices.

I am really happy with the length right now, I would like it to get longer.  The picture of me at graduation, which I have no digital copy of, is a great length.  Hopefully I can get there.  And I will say that looking back at the photos, I don't hate the cut as much as I did when I had it.  I'm not going to be cutting it that short with any sort of frequency, because I do really really like long hair.  But, I can see my self doing it several more times before I die.  It's also nice that it go rid of all the bad hair on my ends, and I'm still relatively split end free.  Which is one reason why I havn't dyed my hair recently.  It's nice to have pretty healthy hair without those frizzy ends.

Also, I can see how hair cut's can really effect your face.  I feel like my face in the short hair picture has a different shape to it.  Looks little bit more heart shape than it is.  the long hair definitely makes my face appear to be oval.  This could also be due to lighting, location, angle of camera, but I'm sure the hair cut itself falls in there somewhere.

Thirsty Days

Spending many days on break with friends is wonderful.  It was a day of playing in Redlands.

Thought these two trees were fantastic. Smooth and pearly white.  They had wonderful shapes in their growing branches.

We ate at a tasty pizza place, Gormet Pizza, in down town Redlands.  they do all sorts of wild things with pizza.  There was one that was basically a hamburger.  Check it out.  Delicious! And the down town area is super cute.

Hanger 24 is a regional brewery in the Redlands area and it is a neat hidden gem.  Not heavily trafficked it didn't take forever to get your drinks and enjoy yourself. Newly created patio area had benches and umbrellas which was just what you needed.

It was a good day!
